Terra Sarda: Sardinian Home Cooking in Australia Cookbook
After running a series of classes taught by local cooks, the Sardinian Cultural Association in Melbourne wanted to find another way to keep their community's food and stories alive.
We collaborated with the Sardinian Association of Sydney and the Queensland Sardinian Culture Club to create Terra Sarda: Sardinian Home Cooking in Australia – a cookbook featuring recipes from the Sardinian community across Australia.
Terra Sarda not only provides a thorough overview of Sardinian cuisine but its history and of course its dishes with 50 original recipes. Favourites include: Malloreddus, culurgionis, suckling pig on a spit, baby goat, seadas and pabassini.
Australia's most famous Sardinian chefs and champions of its cuisine, Stefano Rassu of Sardo Sorrento in Victoria, Pietro Porcu of Da Noi in Melbourne and Giovanni Pilu of Pilu at Freshwater in Sydney, have also contributed to the book.
