Our newest book release, Sardi in Australia, aims to raise awareness of one of the most fascinating, and at the same time less known aspects, of Sardinian emigration to Australia featuring over 30 family stories.

A rather complex and fascinating topic, as indeed is the whole history of Sardinian emigration world wide. Since the late 1940s, when other continents began to close their doors to foreigners, Australia became the new destination for Italian emigration, in particular Sardinians. The book accurately recounts testimonies, dates, events, stories of men and women’s achievements and sacrifices, to seek a better future in a country so far away.
